Despite the fact Toronto would probs want Murphy somehow included or be one of the pieces it's not a bad deal. If kubalik can duplicate his rookie season and Strome can become the 3c we need why not.

You can't be serious. Dubas would hang up on this 100% That's insulting. The Leafs are going to give up a vital roster player who is one of the hardest working most dedicated guys on the team and is the key to their depth for two guys they don't need whatsoever? Neither of which have a contract? This is the very definition of wanting everything for nothing.

Not a chance in hell. Neither of these guys has a contract and the only real piece they don't need. Why on earth would Dubas trade Nylander for two unsigned players where they don't know what they have and one is a centre they don't need they still have to sign?

Yeah because there are a few fans who think skill is **** and Matthews Marner and Nylander should have all signed for under 7 million. That doesn't make them right.

I think the point is that you are getting all worked up over a POV post based on someone else’s idea.

If you’re going to meltdown in someone thread, at least make sure its the right thread.

It's not a meltdown. This is text. It's a stupid trade and if it's not yours why are you posting it.

Whatever ya say man. I made the post to show the Hawks POV on the trade( not that I had to state that as it is literally the title of the post, but judging from what you've done so far I doubt you have read the title yet) The OP should be right below this thread if you feel like ”not having a meltdown’” somewhere else.

they're both RFA's, just resign them lol not a big deal. They won't hold out for more money like some leafs players do

You guys think teams are going to give up a signed contract on a good deal that's signed through the 2023-24 season that's a vital roster piece during a pandemic with a cap freeze that's currently indefinite depending on how bad the economy gets for two players they absolutely don't need. As I said the original "Leafs fan" is an idiot so ask yourself this. One of you named yourself Stan_Bowman, If you were Stan Bowman and they made you GM of the Leafs, Why the hell would it make any sense to entertain this trade in any way when it makes the team's offence worse, contract situation less secure and does nothing to address even a single need the team has. If the Leafs had any interest in a good centre they wouldn't have traded Kadri. Currently every contract this offseason the team has to convince the players to take a big hit on the contract they thought they were getting and to sign for at least 3 years to get them through the economic problems the NHL will have because of the pandemic. This is trying to dump signing problems on the Leafs. Figure out your own contract issues. Don't expect to go fishing for good contracts so you can throw them a nobody and a player they don't need. It's that simple. I don't believe you about the "Leafs fan that suggested the trade." You have put a bunch on here with that title. It's your trade you know is **** and don't want to take credit for.

You are a very angry, albeit very entertaining fellow. Here is the link to the original ACGM, because you are incapable of seeing it for yourself. (BTW it was literally one post below this one)
