    Engvall played centre for the marlies. I have a feeling that either he or brooks would takeover 3c if kerfoot needed to be moved

    Jamie, I am a bolts fan that watched most bolts games this year. Cernak is not a 4M player, he is a decent #4 but there are better options available at 4M

    Don't know why you're trading Kerfoot for futures. His contract is pretty good for what he brings to the team. He's very solid defensively and can play wing in the top 6 as well as play centre.

    Also Dermott will be just as good if not better than Cernak and will be much cheaper than 4M.

    I agree Johnsson will likely be a cap casualty though.

    There is absolutely no chance the Leafs are going to trade Dermott and Kerfott as 3rd line would be too weak. I do agree with you that Brooks is coming and is going to eventually take the 3rd or 4th line center position as great 2 way player and favourite of Keefe.

    honestly if the leafs need a new 3c go trade for Lizotte. He will be expendable next season As the kings will have Stuzle/Byfield, Kopitar, Vilardi, and Amadio as there centers and sure he could move to wing but I see them moving him for value before he gets taken by seattle. Lizotte can be got for a reasonable price and we got a cheap reliable 3c who wont be expensive to extend.

    I would rather have Kerfoot and Dermot on the team that Cernak and Brooks, same cap hit.

    Engvall has played C on the Marlies but only for a season, I do think the plan is to have Engvall play C but 4th line this season flanked by Goat and Spezza and then ideally and if all goes well possibly bumped up to 3 C the following season
