Lol who cares? If they get the biggest goalie steal since Tuukka Rask, you take it. Then just dump Gardiner or Dzingel or something.

You overrate Vasy. He's a good goalie, but Lehner is better, Rask is better, Helle is better etc etc. He's a major product of his defence, which really would only make him better in Carolina. He's overpaid.

Hellebuyck is better for sure, and Rask maybe. But not Lehner. Vasilevskiy is the 2nd or 3rd best in the league and Mrazek is below the 20 mark.

Lehner is better than Hellebuyck, and Rask so I fail to see your point. Gibson is also better, you could put Bishop in consideration too/ He's really good, but he's overrated.

Gourde being a left shot, and being overpaid more than Johnson makes him much less appealing trade candidate.

Is moving Vas a real consideration for Tampa?

If so, Im definitely in for this deal.

Of course we need to move Gardiner and Dzingel to make it happen but, it is worth it. Vas’s GSAA is well above Mrazek’s even in Mrazek’s good season.

Lehner is not better than Hellebuyck. Goalie stats are usually boosted by a teams good defence (that’s why Freddy Anderson is crap this year). Dispite having a bad defence, Hellebuyck stood his ground as one of the best in the league. If you ask me, he’s number one without question. It is a fine debate to see whether Vasilevskiy or Gibson or Bishop is better. Vasilevskiy has better stats than both. So I’d say him. He’s well over Mrazek for sure, and there is no way Tamps opts to do this deal.

No one is talking about Mrazek. We're talking about a direct comparison between picking up a better Robin Lehner on a cheaper deal and moving Mrazek elsewhere for picks, or giving up Mrazek to take on a goalie who, as you said, has inflated stats from his defence. You act like Vasy doesn't play behind Hedman, McDonagh, Cernak, Sergachev. Vasy's job in terms of xGA is the easiest in the league. I'm not saying he's not good, but c'mon. You cannot say Lehner's stats are boosted because of good defence and say Vasy's aren't. As for the Hellebuyck issue, 1 year does not make him better. If he does this for the next 2 years too, fair enough. Right now, it's just a career year.

But Hellebuyck has excellent stats when he had a good defence. His stats only took a very slight dip when he got a bad defense. And Vasilevskiys stats are way better than Lehner’s. Vasilevskiy has the edge in my opinion. But that’s the thing. Who’s better in goalies is not black and white. You can have your own opinion and I will have mine.
