Well they're getting one of the best defensive forwards in the game (who can play on the third line) and a proven (probably cheaper) 3C a pick and Murray back so...

They're immediately getting 2/3 of a potential third line, and there are tons of Johnsson for a third trades on here, they must have some replacement ready....

That TOR trade is awful for the penguins so you can just stop right there with the

The only player there of any value is Kapanen, and he's not worth what you are asking.

Murray for Kapanen is near equal, Toronto advantage though.

Johnsson and Kerfoot are overpaid and probably not worth Reese and the 3rd because of it.

So you are straight up overpaying by McCann, plus, Pittsburgh doesn't want Johnsson's and Kerfoot's $7M cap hit.

Counter with Murray, Reese, 3rd for Kapanen, Kerfoot ($1M ret), and Johnsson ($1M ret). (Willing to go $1.7M/50% on one of them to spare the second retention count)
