it's a 'meh' deal and it MIGHT be a top 10 pick. We have no idea what kind of pick it could be because the play in or even play offs havent happened. So unless we are pretending a specific placement the value of said pick is not set.
as far as the rest of it goes, they down grade a lot from Nylander to Domi and lose a very good prospect in Robertson for on year and a prayer of more on a 32 year old Jeff petry who is ripe for a slow and steady decline at best. Olofsson is a toss in and not worth much

i know, that's why the value of the first is basically dust in the wind. It could be the 1st over all or it could be the 31st over all, literally.

but then you're banking on that trade being available (ellis) or even a good idea (Dumba would be a terrible idea). It's just not a good trade for the leafs in the long run, they arnt on some last gasp to win the cup.

First of all the leafs and Habs will never make a blockbuster trade. Secondly I have never been in favour of moving nylander at any price.

Lastly... this is a fair deal proposed by a Habs fan. I believe it deserves some credit. I’ve seen a million nylander trades on this site, half of them by leafs fans that do slick willy no justice.

a deal can be 'fair' and still not be a good idea for a team to do. There are lots of reasons the leafs should not do this trade (most of which i have stated) even if the price is 'fair'.

I wouldn’t pull the trigger either. I do like the idea of domi as a leaf. Fan favourite adds some grit and a bit of skill. Just an interesting idea. Same with the stars trade from a different agm.
