    Kings won't take on Ladd if there's not a 1st coming back. Honestly, I'm not sure they'd take on Ladd even if there was a 1st coming back.

    A mid-late 3rd isn't enough incentive for the Wings to help the Islanders out of a cap crunch

    I wouldn't trade ladd. Isles will have to give up a 1st + bellows and he'll end up suffering another serious injury and LTIRetire.

    For Hickey it might be. He’s only making 2.5 mil so not that much of a cap dump. He’s also a serviceable 3rd pair/7th D. This is also next year so he’d only be under contract for one more year. I understand that you want a lot to take on cap but you seem to have unrealistic expectations for a lot of guys.
