Umm... ok. Danault also plays on the PK and PP, so I don’t see your point.

when someone says, danault has a higher 5v5 point total eichel, was just point how it doesnt matter since points count the same on the PP

I think you’re discounting a bit of what Danault does. Sure he’s not exceptional at anything offensively, but he’s solid doing what he does to help the team score goals. Sure he’s never going to shoot like (insert whoever the habs best shooter is here) and he’s never going to thread the needle like Drouin or Suzuki, but he’s good at all the small things, which helps elevate his linemates’ games, which helps make the TDG Line as good as it is.*

*Speaking of which, we need a name for the line.

No. He is speaking without hab goggles on.

Cozens is ready rn, but not to be a C, and with this trade he doesn't have to be

no he isnt. And we will waste a year on his ELC if we force him in the nhl this year.

Danault is far too valuable to MTL to be trade for some "maybe" pieces.

don't worry, he wouldn't get nearly as good of a return as the trade proposed in the AM.

A 40 to 50 rental lol. Apparently people lose their money when hockey is forced to shut down.

PP points are also way more reliant on the teams system than 5v5

or, maybe thei are more reliant on talented players, playing when their team has a man advantage.

I suppose we could go for that Murray/Johansson trade, but honestly, if Danault comes on the market we're probably going to be trying to outbid y'all.

Even then Eichel probably has Danault beat, Danault played mostly with noted offensive black hole Nick Suzuki, Tomas Tatar (he's p good, but is he better than a guy like Reinhart, idk) and Gallagher, another guy who can't finish up to expectations to save his life, vs Eichel with Reinhart (again, probably = or better than Tatar) Olofsson, maybe not the best player, but he certainly can shoot the puck on the PP, and Jeff Skinner, who even in a down year is still a damn good hockey player (and still had better finishing than Gallagher)

BTW I'm not saying Danault>Eichel (tho I do see absolutely nothing wrong with that statement) just that it's a lot closer than people think and you probably won't be able to get Danault for scraps

love Hutton and would love to see him back, but the Blues need to free up more than just 1.6M and have Husso ready to step in at the minimum so it's probably more of a dump Allen for a pick situation

Gotta love Sabres fans trying to trade Pilut knowing full well he signed in the KHL.

yes, but 5v5 is a pretty dumb stat, mainly, but not limited to, tje fact that points count the same on the power play as they do at even strength.

5v5 -> his ratio of GF/60 and GA/60 are incredible
