No, we do not need "a center". We need a #2C. If you're offering Schenn (or O'Reilly, ha ha ha), we're interested. Otherwise, no.

Clarification: CBJ needs a TOP6 C, not yet another overpaid 3rd liner.

This won't do.

Bozak is a cap dump. Nobody's paying to take him.

Bozak is a top 6 forward IMO. He's not for the blues because we have ROR and Schenn

I don't think so.

The only team he has been TOP6 player was Toronto...and that wasn't because he was of the level, rather it was because Toronto sucked.

I don't think that has changed now that he's 34 and declining.

Bozak's a consistent 40 points a year player who is one of the better faceoff winners in the NHL. We could have Crosby on the Blues and you'd be saying Schenn's not a top 6 forward.

He had 29 points and his production has been declining. Not sure how you can say he is a consistent 40 point player.

Schenn is a 2C.

Bozak is a 3C. He's not even a high tier 3C (pretty average).

The only way you get that kind of return on Bozak is if you retain half.

I mean, that's why the Blues got Bozak. He replaced Stastny in just about every way but is 1.5 million cheaper. And he's a top 6 forward for Vegas. Blues just have a ton of depth.

It's almost as if most players point production was less this year after not playing a full season . . .

Only way Columbus makes that trade is if you take Wennberg back. We don’t need another defensive minded center.

Don't be absurd. We've already got "top 6 forwards" like that in spades. The last time he was high enough quality to meet our #2C needs he was still playing for Toronto.

4 years vs. 2 at the same price with double the point production. No thanks

As I said, Columbus doesn’t want Bozak unless we can even out the cap hits and there really isn’t anyone else that Columbus can move that Bozak could replace. Ie we have Jenner, Wennberg and Nash as north 6 centers, we need a top 6 guy. Bozak isn’t that.
