1. Sabres decline. If you were to make it Hertl for the #8 I'd say it's close to a deal (similar to Schnieder for the #9 before) - main reason being Buffalo needs a top 6 centre. Not a winger
2. Leafs straight up decline. You can debate value all you want, but they'll look for a cheap NHL ready younger player for whoever they move. Prospects and picks don't help their situation.
3. Tampa probably declines as well. Value is an slight overpayment but it doesn't help them again. They need d-man, not forwards. Likely would cost Merkley to get him if it was buy a trade. Which I highly doubt Wilson considers.
4. Rangers likely accept but some concerns come up with that deal. First being it's a massive overpayment for Georgiev. He's not worth more than what Bernier went to Toronto for (2nd round pick, filler goalie, and mediocre prospect). Backups with limited playing time don't get much value. Also, the Rangers were said to be looking for a "young roster forward" for Georgiev. The 1st might be intriguing but I think they have enough good young prospects, they want to start competing soon. Kevin Labanc or Dylan Gambrell could be a good starting point for both sides.
5. That's likely the cost to move Jones' deal. Just not sure Ottawa is the team. They've got a few good young goalies and Nilsson was better than Jones last season when he was given a chance to start more. The list of teams willing to take Jones will be low, might be easier to just buy him out if they're that ready to move on from him.
