No to Formenton honestly. Make it Balcers or something but Formenton is off limits

Formenton would probably be your 2nd best forward prospect. Ottawa really doesnt want to do this

its just the concept of moving him, I have no idea why this site has been doing it over the past couple days. Avs do not do themselves any favours moving out a legit Top 6 forward for a prospect they have to wait on to make the same impact Bura has during their cup window in the Mack Contract.

When you compound moving Bura just to sign hall, its such a terrible idea

I like Bura, but I just don't think I'd trade Formenton. Sens have plenty of 2nds and 3rds they can flex in trades, I don't think it makes any sense to trade a prospect you've already drafted and developed that far.

There has to be something. Tell me if I'm off, but the Sens are gonna be pretty darn set at LW with Tkachuk, Duclair, likely at least one of Stutzle, Raymond, and Perfetti, etc. It's a position of strength (or at least will be), so it could make sense to use that to provide a boost elsewhere.

I can't come up with anything from Colorado (I have tried too), but it seems logical to me that Formention could be a guy that is moved for established C or D.

I think Stutzle is a C in the NHL, at least he will be if he ends up in Ottawa over LA, and ideally they land Raymond 5th to give them better RW depth. I also don't think Duclair will be a long term player in the future.

Formenton to me is a guy in the mold of a Kapanen type of winger, where he can be an X Factor on the PK, and can score goals at even strength even with primarily 3rd line usage. He's not going to be a Star, but I think he's going to be such a key middle six contributor that it's hard for me to justify moving him, especially when the Sens have so many picks they could be using as trade leverage instead of already developed prospects who can step in the next year or so.
