klingberg requires nylander or marner

Weber is 7th D depth.
The Leafs need some cheap depth D with some NHL experience on the right side for injury cover.
Right now they have zero, and in this scenario even Liljegren is gone.

This trade came from a post by a Stars fan, and other stars fans commenting didn't seem to mind it.
That's why I used it here.

I want nothing to do with that Marner cap hit. And I think Kapanen and Liljegren is a better long term fit for the Stars than Nylander who is worth more than just Klinger when you consider term remaining

not bad ideas, and think TOR would have to add a bit more for Klingberg (a 2nd or 3rd rounder?), maybe take out kerfoot and faksa?

the signings are more than a bit light though and that completely blows your cap, so you're back to the drawing board there.

I like gudas in TOR, hes what they need, but its close the same forward corps which isn't good. Same firwewagon offense and not enough forecheck/backcheck

I kind of disagree. Imo Klinger and Nylander are equal in terms of value. Their last 3 seasons are almost identical statistically. Same number of games in which Nylander have 3 points more, while playing in a much more offensive team. Klingberg's contract is also dirt cheap which further increases his value.

Fair. I still think we add a pick as it looks rough if Klinger walks in free agency and we still have Willy. My thing is we have an even bigger depth on the right side issue if we aren’t adding a RHD prospect in the deal

Conditional pick is fine imo.

And yeah a move like this pretty much confirms that in terms of RHDs DAL has to make some corresponding moves.

But it's not like TOR is much better with their RHD depth tbh.

I am not a DAL fan, but I would think if this is the package (without Nylander/Marner) there has to be at least a 1st coming back to DAL as well.
