LOL I wouldn't trade Vladar striaght up for Georgiev. Vladar is two years younger and was the best goalie in the AHL last year. Boston also has a Richter Award Winner and Hobey Baker finalist coming into the fold next year in Swayman. No need for Boston to go out and get another teams back-up.

A 2nd rounder and the top goalie in the AHL whose only 22yr old + a bottom 6 RW is awful for a guy with a career 3.00 GAA / .913 SV%?

You realize that goalies don't hold a lot of trade value right? Cam Talbot had better numbers when the Rangers traded him and he netted a 2nd, 3rd and 7th. Outside of Schneider being traded for #9OA (which was unheard of), most goalie don't fetch much.

Except when you take into account the fact that AG has played behind the disaster that is our d-core he was a beast this year.

if we move him we must get a d-man back. That's why I mentioned Grz.

But we're not moving him so no need to make a whole lot out of it

You're not getting a d-man who can play top 4 and a 2nd round pick for him even if you did trade him.

There was also this kid named Igor Shesterkin who would have been a Calder finalist if he hadn’t played like 20 games. Shesterkin was very dang good, a Georgiev had good reason to not play

I am well aware. That’s just the thing though, can’t slap that kind of price tag on a maybe back up.

Wanna see what Vladar does in Boston. Was exceptional in the AHL last season.

The best goalie in the AHL is a big name to put on the guy who was injured for the majority of the season and didn't even start the most games on the team.

He only played in 25 games last season and the B-bruins were tied for the second best record in the AHL leading to his inflated stats last year, somewhere between his two seasons with the P-Bruins is a much better indication of his abilities.

I would not give up Grez for Georgiev, the trade I placed above IMO is very fair. With Tuukka possibly going to be out next season Boston needs a reliable NHL proven goalie to split time with Halak and Georgiev has proven he could be that guy, at a fairly low cost.

His numbers were equal to Igor Shestyorkin who is considered one of the best goalie prospects in the NHL.
