These are terrible. Why would Kane have negative value?

I don't really see how Staal & a 2nd is negative value. You can say that's not enough, but that's not negative value

If I'm WPG, I accept.
How much more would it cost for SJS to add Burns with $1.5-$2 million retained?

Can't see SJ making any of these trades but Sorenson, we get fleeced in the Couture and Kane trades.

goaltending is fine

they both got over .905 and yes they were both backups but Dell did play for us and we were 3rd worst in the league and Georgiev is still young

you think? I mean he's decent now but his contract could be really bad down the road

Upgrade the 2nd to the 2020 1st ideally. We wouldn’t mind taking back a forward either. Just depends what else is being sent by WPG.

Kane > Staal, so not sure why the 2nd is in there

Couture should probably get us more than that although it’s close

Overpay on Rutta, very large overpay on Galchenyuk.

Other than those things, this is a pretty good roster. Never been an advocate of Buying out Jones but to each their own.

they're giving us the 2nd tho

that's a fair price for Rutta, and while Galchenyuk did only play a few games he's averaged around half a point per game in all his seasons so I think it's fair

value in the future matters less than now.

since 15-16, Couture has 1.08 P/GP in 60 games (pretty damn good sample size), that's the highest in the league above 25GP
(Mackinnon 1.12 P/GP in 25GP, Leon Draisaitl 1.29 P/GP) in 17GP)
And despite his high point totals, he is still a very reliable 2-way center.

Sure his value would be higher if his contract ran for 4 more years. But some people would have you drink the kool-aid that no team would take Couture because he is getting paid a lot far down the line. If you are in the middle of competing, you are going to be much more focused on building a contending team this year (short-term) rather than your teams finances in 5 years.

Staal is a rental, Kane is locked up locked up till he is 34. Kane is pretty much already better. the difference between them is worth much more than a 2nd.

Absolute bruh moment, my apologies. My IQ today is apparently lower than Evander's number. No issues.

I would just rather give Galchenyuk a prove it sort of deal like Labanc's. I could see him taking something like a 1 x 1.5 to a 1 x 2.5 just to prove himself. His numbers haven't been awful for sure, but I'm really not sure he's the real deal. He's a good player with a nasty shot, okay playmaking and an okay 200 foot game when he's on it, but he hasn't been that player since 2016-17. He's lost his confidence and has been a nightmare defensively lately. He could definitely step it up again, and I'd be happy if he did, but taking that risk isn't the best idea imo.

Zero chance the Jets consider moving youth for a 31 year old with another 7 years at a high cap hit.

I think this could be a potential steal. More often than not he gets more than half a point per game and he's only 26. I could definitely see him getting 50+ points and at 3.5 million that's a steal.
