Ottawa declines. They don't need of a LHD, let alone TWO of them.

Trading Alzner to get rid of his caphit is just plain cheating. Nobody will take that contact, even if you offer a first round pick.

Also, Congrats! You just lost Petry, Armia, Danault, Gallagher and Tatar to free agency because you spent all your capspace like a child in a Toys R Us!

No judgement on the signings I'm not a Montreal fan. I'm just curious as to why almost every Canadiens trade I read involves Domi. He's not a bad player, so does he not like playing in Montreal or something?

He was playing on the 4th line to start the playoffs, and wasn't great. He's on an expiring deal and becomes an RFA this offseason so it makes it easier to move him since whatever team gets him will be able to negotiate the contract with him. There's no spot for him as a center in the top 9 since Danault, Suzuki and Kotkaniemi played well in the playoffs, and I believe Montreal have 10 forwards capable of playing top 9 minuets. Since Domi can play center, and had a 70 point year it has teams like Minnesota, Winnipeg, Buffalo and more interested

Ah ok that makes sense from Montreals perspective. I still think he's a good player though growing up in London I watched him play a lot for the Knights. He impressed me he's feisty like his old man. Doesn't drop the gloves like him but he's still got grit and can score as he proved in his first season with you guys. I think if you do trade him he'll do well for the other team to be honest. He's still young and learning as well. You'll get a nice return for him.
