I like it for the most part. Good ideas in general, but 2 thing I think need correcting.

1. Holtby is gonna cost more than 5 and I don't think he takes a 1 year deal

2. Tampa doesn't do that deal for Cirelli. Based on the contract you gave him, it'd be at least a 1st and 3rd for RFA compensation. Don't see why Tampa would take a trade offer for his rights for less.

I think NYRs are going to put together a pkg for Cirelli so beat them to it!

I desagree with you for the pick...An offer sheet would give them a 1st and a 3rd but probably not a top 10 pick, in that scenario you are garanteed to get a top pick and not risking picking at 25 OA and late in the third for Cirelli...

I highly doubt it. Why do you think that?

Cirelli has already said to local reporters in Tampa he loves playing here and plans on returning next year and is open to different ways to make it work.

What else is a RFA going to say? It's not like he's going to say "the team doesn't have the cap space to pay me what I'm worth and I want out". Whenever a player says something like that nothing good comes from it for them.

For the trade I was thinking something similar for 9oa from MN. I think BUF takes Lundell with 8oa.

It wont be too long now, just a couple months and we will know based on what they are saying about how the off season will go.

Tampa gets their RFAs to sign bridge deals so I expect that is what he would sign to stay with Tampa.

I am just telling you what he said. He could have asked that the question not be asked at all. Tampa finds was to keep their RFAs so I expect them to try and sign him to a bridge deal.

Tampa declines easily. They have no interest in moving Cirelli, and seeing as how he's already the 2C, likes it in Tampa and is willing to work with management to stay, the only way Tampa is moving him in a trade is if it's for pieces that Tampa wants. This basically means an elc or prospect type that is capable of being a regular contributor next year. Tampa could care less at this point about the 8th pick. They have traded multiple 1sts recently to load up for the now. They certainly aren't trading their 2C for a prospect that might do something for them 2 years down the road. The only realistic pieces from Buffalo that even make Brisebois listen are Cozens or Jokiharju. Anything else and Tampa says thanks, but no thanks. Cirelli will bridge and Tampa moves on to the next contract.

I think they'd still get a top 10 pick if they were to wait for the 2021 pick

they have $5M with 3 premium RFA's to sign and third liner's making $5M+ with only 15 players signed.

They are just way to optimistic. $5M in cap room? 15 players signed? 3 Premium RFA's to sign? third liners making $4-5M+ with NMC/NTC's? Tampa is screwed.

They just missed the playoffs in a season that over 75% of the league made it. You gotta drop the bias. They aren't even close to being close.

Eichel and Dahlin? Cozens? UPL? 8th Pick? Jokiharju? they just need a top 4 LHD and top 6 RW and I promise they'd make it.
