Bernier was really good for Wings last year, I don't think this would really make sense for them. Losing the extra year on the bad contract swap is nice but doesn't really do much for them in a rebuild with plenty of cap space available for the foreseeable future.

Alzner for Abdelkader is an idea I haven't seen before. But Bernier is Detroit's only goalie right now and I'm not even sure Lindgren is even a NHL backup goalie. When you compare the amount of NHL games played to the amount of AHL games he has played it looks like Montreal's coaching staff doesn't see him as a back up either. Montreal looked good in the post season and I don't think taking on more cap is the right move here. Especially when its to acquire a player they don't need, like a 32yr old goalie that will be a backup in Montreal.
