Honestly, I wouldn’t do the Laine deal if I were Montreal. Caufield looks like he’ll be a future Maurice Richard winner at some point in is career. I wouldn’t do it personally. Caufield is just too good, or will be one day.

Hard no from this Jets fan... zero interest In Domi.
He’s not good enough as a winger to crack our top 6, and is barely an upgrade on what we have now as a center.

No way Montreal gives up that much for Laine.
I could see a 2c, top 4 defenseman, a 1st and maybe 1 more minor piece.

Having the minor piece be Caufield+Poehling is overkill though.

Juulson is a bust, Poehling will best case be a 3C. I’m not doing that trade if I’m Winnipeg

Overpay on Pietro, Laine deal is a few nickels for a dollar. I think the Pionk 4 Kap deal is interesting. Sign Brendan Dillon and Demelo or Hamonic.
How about Haula for a 2C. Prolly get him for 4x4. Buyout Perrault

I'd like to add Domi to the Jets but I'm not trading Laine for him, the other pieces are nice but I'd still pass.

Pietrangelo is never signing in Winnipeg.

Im not interested in Domi at that price, but he would be an upgrade at the 2C IMO. Little is most likely done and even though COpp has shown glimpses of being a 2C, I think he's best suited in a shut down role. Roslovic doesn't appear to have what it takes according to Maurice's ice time.
Like I said I wouldn't trade that package, but some sort of deal could be worked out

A Montreal fan floated this package was curious to see how it might look from our end. Moving Laine would make fitting a player like Petrangelo in if he was willing to sign here.
