This has nothing to do with stupidity.

The Pens proably have just a few more seasons where they can win a stanley cup before they fall apart

The Rangers are not good enough to win anything yet.

This is why the Pens are willing to overpay to make that push in that short window and the Rangers are not


That being said, the Rangers probably don't pay that much

The Canes trade is bad for either side

The Leafs should not give up that much for Larsson. Engvall for Larsson maybe, but don't add Dermott to it

The canes trade is great for Toronto. Just need to make one more trade for a goalie.
