Description
A team that will fight for top pick next year but with 6 picks in top 62 this year and 3 in top 32 next year. With foundational pieces like Cozens, Glass, Andersson, Valimaki, Hanifin wont be too long of a wait. Won't happen but it was fun. Fans of other teams, would you make those deals?

Bruins overpay, but not by much
Id say Debrusk and a 2nd with a conditional 3rd that becomes a 2nd if he gets say 60 points

U probably could get 3rd overall and Brannstrom for Tkachuk. Tkachuk is only a year older than Brannstrom and way better so they'd have to add from there. If you look at 3rd overall picks from the last 10 years, only about half are anywhere close to Tkachuk. You might have to add a pick on our side or a prospect however because the 3rd overall pick and Brannstrom will both likely be good to great players

CBJ decline. We're not giving up an exciting, ELC forward in any deal that doesn't bring back Tkachuk, Monahan or Gaudreau. (Not 1-for-1, but those three are the caliber of player that would have to be part of the return.)

Keep in mind Boston picks are late. Also in Boston he doesn't have to carry the offence like in Calgary. He will be sheltered and likely do really well.

Possibly but a top 5 pick is pretty good plus other goodies. Ill take top 3 if they offered but I think this is fair for both sides.

What would you offer for Backlund? If youd want him?

The value I think is right, but Buffalo is in no position to trade their only good prospect and a good draft pick.

There's probably not a fit, honestly. We'd likely offer a bottom-6 forward and a spare D (Nash + Nutivaara), but I'm not sure they want to tie up cap for that long with Dubois getting a deal this offseason and next offseason being the time to re-up Bjorkstrand/Texier and extend Jones/Werenski.

Excellent Points! So i guess thats my thought something like:
Debrusk, a 2nd, and a 3rd* for Johnny
the 3rd becomes a 2nd if he hits x point and a 1st if the bruins win the cup or something like that

Its still a good deal for the flames (as they get debrusk to be the 2nd LW behind Tkachuk, but doesnt screw the bruins (they still give up an awesome LW and a couple solid picks anyway)
