I don't think Domi is worth that much

I wonder why he played so little in the playoffs, you don't do that to balance the lines.

I'd love Domi but at the right price and contract. I'd even consider giving up the 15th overall but not at the cost of Nylander.

I think Kotkaniemi pushed him out of his slot/role before Domi joined the bubble. Had more to do with Suzuki and Kotkaniemi playing well and development than it had to do with Domi. Even Danault was pushed to 3C, and isn't happy about it. That being said, Domi didn't have a good playoffs, just pointing out that he was "demoted" before even getting to the bubble.

I would not move the 15th pick, the Leafs have cap issues, so they need 1st and 2nd round picks pushing for roster spots making higher salaries tradable.

Look at Kapanen, he would not have been traded if Robertson wasn't there.

I am not sure TO can offer a good return for Domi. Unless you guys think Dermott next to Petry or Weber would be a great addition, along with Johnsson and a 2nd or something. Domi would he a 3rd liner in TO when everyone is healthy but could move up at times. He'd also never be asked to be a star just go out and play hard which I think would make his life easier. Still though there is a huge potential of him being another Kadri who blows himself up by crossing the line because he feels he needs to be that guy.

Caude Julien is a good coach. He would have coached the team in a way that would have given Domi 17-18 minutes even as the 4th centre, but he chose not to and gave him between 14 and 15.

I think he still would have. Kap is entirely overrated. Dubas robbed Rutherford, absolutely robbed him. Kap will again at best be a 40 point 20 goal scorer and I think it's likely he is a 15 goal 30 point 3rd liner because I don't think Pittsburgh 3rd line is going to be as good as TO's was during the regular season. He def won't be playing with Crosby or Malkin for long anyways

I am not sure about that.

They payed so much for him not because he is an amazing player, but because they probably identfied a need for speed as well as for someone on the PK

Kapanen is not the best, but has some very good atributes

Weise and Weal... Julien can say anything he wants to the media, that was a 4th line Domi was on. But again, more due to Kotkaniemi and Suzuki pushing Danault and Domi down. Domi didn't show up at camp and play himself into the 4th line. That's the spot they started him at from the start.

Please tell me this is a joke and you don’t actually think Kerfoot is worth that much and you can get Pesce that easily.

Just curious about Kerfoot.... he's a 3rd line C right? If he was sent to DET (for whatever), putting him on the 2nd line would be over his head right?

Didn't see him play much in COL or TOR, but I always thought of him as a bottom six guy. But is it because he's stuck behind Matthews and JT in TOR?

As a wings fan, I'd be open to Kerfoot (as I'm sure he's better than any C we have not named Larkin), but wanted to know where he would be slotted from people that see him more. I'd be upset if DET gave up 3 picks for a 3rd line guy though.

Kerfoot is a bottom 6 forward. Wings need to start bringing up kids and he only blocks that progression. Maybe a 3rd but a 2nd and 2 3rds, that is a little pricey.
