Probably gonna be "omg this trade so bad!!" but actually wondering what costs are, and if I'm close, seen canes fans a bunch making mock moves of trading Dzingel for a physical defenseman. Then honestly have no idea on the value of Monohan + Hanifin, but hey the top 6 looks cool

Don't really see much of a point from the canes perspective. The last thing we need is another left shot dman. We have so many that Bean can't get in the linep

Flames trade has no legs, they trade the best two pieces (both young and not massively overpaid) for a 1st rounder, a project, a RFA dman and a cap dump?

I can't see the flames packaging 2 good players for that kind of return, the value isn't all that close. I like Montour, I like the 8th OA but mittelstadt has way too many question marks around him and Johansson would be another depth winger we could live without.

Canes have Slavin, Skjei, Gardiner all signed long term. Fleury and Bean as well. They need a LD like you need another Kyle Okposo.
