Description
Just messing around and attempting to predict the future C's of each team. There are obviously lot's of potential possibilities and I don't know every teams future so well. Here's my shot, let me know who I have missed.

Going out on a limb and thinking the next oilers captain likely hasn’t even started to play junior hockey. Mcdavid owns that title for remainder of career.

Surprised no one has noticed this yet but really? Makar over MacKinnon? Personally I’d go the other way and say MacKinnon is the next captain for Colorado.

As a Sharks fan Mario Ferraro is actually interesting one. If he could become the next Vlasic and in his tenure they win the cup why not? Or maybe an ''A'' atleast.

How far in the future you talking? If it just the next captain, then for Boston is Bergeron.

Interesting point of view, I like it.


I am a Sharks fan. Ferraro has superior work ethic, passion and heart. He may not be the most talented but he already has more heart than half the team. 2nd choice is Hertl.

I am more thinking about players under 25. just speculative, not basing off strict parameters though.

Yes but I wanted to pick players that aren't current captains you see, makes it more interesting. Your point is valid though.

I could see bouch being given an A at some point so your pick does carry some weight and I agree doing it your way is more interesting just a select few teams are locked in for a very long time.

Honestly, I think the viewpoints changed on scheifele. I know Maurice spoke in 2017 about scheifele likely being the next captain but things have changed a lot. Morrissey looks like the next captain imo, I also wouldn’t be surprised if copp reups like 3-4 years and gets the C.

Agree about Morrissey. Scheifele is not a bad choice though. Good problem to have.

Scheifele has seemed really uninterested. He’s also seemed a bit pouty. I’d be curious to see where he stands in term of leadership.

I don't watch much Bruins hockey. But just from what I have seen, McAvoy looks like he'd be a good option in a few seasons.
