Serious question: Why is Strome available?

I strongly disagree with the idea of giving up DeBrincat for RNH. There is not enough term/ team control on that contract. There is a possibility that RNH walks in FA next season and all we have in return for DeBrincat is whoever we pick at what (14?).

I wouldn’t be opposed to sending him away to get a top pairing defenseman, however.

Toews and Dach are locking up the top 6 in the near future. Strome is too good to be a 3C. Hawks also have strong center prospects in Barratt, Kurashev and Suter. Kampf is locked in the 4C role but the Hawks probably believe he could also be a 4C. Bottom line, the Hawks have a lot of center depth. They don't have a #1 LHD prospect though while the rest of the defensive roles are solid.

Hawks fans have bought into the idea of Kirby Dach as the 2nd C next year, and they lack the foresight to see that Toews will eventually decline. Personally I would prefer to keep our center depth, but if we move one it should be for a top pairing D.

I should have qualified this with saying an extension in place.

How can we expand this deal to include another center prospect from you? Greenway and/or Donato + being the most likely players coming your way.

Toews is still playing very solid hockey. It's a simple numbers game right now. Sheltering Dach in a 3C role might be fine for next season but you can't do that much longer. The Hawks have plenty of bottom 6 centers. If you can fill the hole with Brodin on the first line, without question the Hawks should fill that need as it is bigger need long term and short term. Furthermore, if the Hawks draft someone like Holloway (who I think is one of a handful on their radar), it makes Strome even more expendable.

Wild get more in any deal for Brodin with an extension.

RNH plus a pick in this years draft bring back way more than DeBrincat and some spare parts.

Leafs don't need to be giving up draft picks for mediocre d-man that wouldn't even play on their team.

Decline. Decline. Decline.

De Hann, meh. He's still useful at this point but you'd probably have to sweeten the deal a bit for a team to take him because of his injury history. He's overpaid for only giving a team maybe 50 games if they're lucky.

I have concerns about Toews being a “Top 6 center of the future” it seems like he’s sustained his offensive production at the cost of his defensive play recently. I think relegating him down the lineup is the best way to build a contender.

I would also ask you to tell me who you think is a top 6 center in the prospects you mentioned. I think the can be middle 6/ bottom 6 centers, but I have my doubts about them being top guys unless one can pull a brayden point.

No need for Donato or Greenway in my opinion. Hawks are stacked with bottom 9 players.

There seems to be a De Haan to NJD for a 3rd round pick on every Blackhawks ACGM...why?

I hope he isn't, but we do live in a flat cap environment. The Hawks can't afford all their players. Dach's been really really good. I'd hate to waste Strome's talent as a #3C.

Wrong on Brodin and widely agreed by fans from both sides.
Wrong RNH is a rental and moving back 1 round in the draft for a player locked in for his career
Wrong Leafs suck on the right side of the D, Koekko is easily a 6th or 7th man as the roster currently sits

NJD needs a 2nd line LHD. Hawks need to move Maatta or De Haan

a few reasons, but I think the Kings should be on here just as much as the Devils. NJD need a LD...NJD needs someone physical because they're the softest team in the NHL...NJD also have cap space. Now it's let's debate what kind of return or lack of return he'd be getting. Maybe this is the wrong thinking...maybe not? Who's to say?

... doesn't mean you have to reply. & the problem with this kid is that he sits there and trolls and then whines to the moderators. It's immaturity at its finest.

Highly intelligent player. Great hands, good shot and good in front of the net. Great passing as well. He doesn't have good high end speed and lacks endurance at times. Defensively not great and not great at the dot but getting much better late this season. 23 years old so plenty of upside. His development was mismanaged by Arizona, but shouldn't be surprising as they often don't do a good job developing players.

It's my AGM, you made a comment just like others and I replied. I disagreed with your comment (not surprising as you just like to stir the pot aka trolling) and replied as such, you yell "troll"...that's how you handle someone that you don't agree with and has happened with me and others time and time again. Here's the BIG KICKER when you call me the troll, it's my AGM!

This is your known behavior around here, and why you've had many warnings by multiple people reporting you. Grow up kid and go find somewhere else to troll and stick to Leafs AGMs where you can find friends that only agree with you.
