Description
Got rid of hard contracts, Petry, Drouin and Byron; Then Domi and Danault to WIN since they need those kind of players and have the money for them for decent returns in picks; Got Lindgren to a tram that will need him; signed Hall and Hoffman (put 4yrs, could've gone up to 5 or even 6 yrs); got a solid 4th line center in Brassard that can play up the lines if our young centers don't play up next year. Brought in Carson Soucy for some Dline help with Romanov in the line up and Mete back. Got also Shattenkirk to play the second line and up the powerplay. Got plenty of cap space for next year for the UFAs we want to keep and RFA that need a paycheck. Primeau might be ready to play in at that time. so...

That LA 1st round pick will likely be a top 5 overall pick again next season...

Yeah risky trade for LA honestly. I think Winnipeg would have to give up another piece

Why would the Kings, a rebuilding team pay a 2021 1st for a guy MTL fans do nothing, but complain about?

Guess you guys have yet to read any news. Cap ain't going up, will be less money for free agents compared to last year and because of Covid, players and GMs will likely try to get/give less years and cash in in a few years.

Saw your teams.. not really better.. even worse on some levels.

That's the plan. Both players have shown they don't want to come back, so they will draw less than if they had shut up. So, best thing is to get high picks in a good draft year like this year.

Because Kings don't care about what fans in MTL say. He's still got potential and they need a winger on the second line. Easy fit for them his contract is over when they need to re-sign a few guys hence works out for them.

Yeah, see your point. Evan or Poehling for me would be good. I chose Poehling since he'll need to prove himself for a new contract so he may give more.

It's a toss up. Depends on their pick helping out, and Drouin (my choice to go there). They may drop mid pick..
