Canucks move Markstrom out East because they can't keep both goalies with the Seattle Expansion Draft in a year.

Toronto moves Andersen for the rights to Markstrom to prevent Colorado from signing him.

    Markstrom had 1 good playoff push that doesnt make him better. Freddie in general has better numbers and put a good dcore infront of him and he would probs be in the Vezina conversation

    I wouldnt mind Markstrom but honestly Id go in on Lehner. Guys great, younger, and with Dubas signing bonuses he would get more money in the end. If not trading for Kuemper would also be intriguing

    He’s a year younger and He would be more expensive. I also think he is going to stay in Vegas. I was actually pushing for Demko in most of these conversations. Think that ship has sailed.

    It's going to be cap hell next year for them with Hughes and Pettersson's renewals. So, no Markstrom is the right move.

    The issue with demko is consistency he can go from being great to getting embarrassed by marincin. As f now I don't know who should replace freddy. Based on rumors(Kuemper, Lehner, and Murray) seem to be the 3 so we just got to wait and see

    That goal by Marincin was a rebound from a wicked wrister off the crossbar. Demko is young (in goalie age) just putting it together. His numbers for the most part are strong. Great form. Good athleticism and great compete.

    Lol what? How, Markstrom finally showed up as a starter at the age of 30, Markstrom would be a less expensive Freddie he's certainly not better

    Most UFA Goalies rights go for a 5th rounder. Though i believe Ben Bishop returned a 4th from Dallas if i'm not mistaken.

    Canucks get a 1 year stop gap until Demko is full time + they can afford it with Hughes/Pettersson still on ELCs
