MTL needs scoring, not d-men. Lindgolm is a good d-man, but we lost in the playoffs even though we only gave up 1.78 goals/game. We need goals. Lindholm doesn’t address that. It’s just not a fit.

Trading away a perfectly effective fourth-liner for nothing to "free up" cap space when we don't need to free up cap space is absurd. The other fourth-line winger (Des Lauriers) cost us a fourth, by the way.

Your Lindholm trade is ridiculously off. We wouldn't take Domi and the third for Lindholm alone, let alone add an A prospect LD and the 36th overall pick in this draft. We would, however, do Domi and the third for Mahura and the second.

Troy Terry isn't a "depth guy" and we won't be trading him at all, let alone for a sixth.

Trading Lindholm and replacing him with Soucy and Del Zotto is a joke. And we can re-sign Michael for far less if we want him.

Why "bury" Jacob Larsson when you need a seventh defenseman?

Heinen isn't a fourth-liner and doesn't play center. Backes is and does. The reason you have him "buried" is that you've exchanged Lindholm's cap hit for Domi's (losing about 800k in the process) and then spent $4.2 million on Soucy and Del Zotto. Speaking of bad signings, why would we trade for RFA Max Domi and then sign him for only 3 years at that price?!?
