Why would they do that he's only younger, better, and wouldn't require trading three pieces...

Lehner definitely wants to stay in Vegas. And I think they clearly want him over Fleury.

I don't disagree, but easier said than done.

With the amount of goalies set to hit FA, and younger goalies on the block, its very unlikely B's would trade 2 out of top 5 prospects and their highest pick this year for an aging declining Goalie and spare parts. I like Flower, awesome career, seems like an awesome guy, but hes on the back nine with a heavy cap hit.

I definitely see where you're coming from. I just think with where the Boston core is at right now, loading up for one last run, they would want a guy who has "done it before." I guess Holtby could be that guy too and that might be a better option while keeping their future assets in tact. Just thought I'd throw this idea out there. Fleury in Boston would be weird but kind of awesome.

I dont disagree from that point of view... I think the trade itself would have to be re-worked, BOS prospect pool is thin, and those are two guys that they probably need to hang on to. I think Fleury's value will also be impacted if VGK does decide to sign Lehner, b/c they most likely wont be able to afford Fleury at his cap hit. But nonetheless, if the value is right for B's and Rask happens to hang it up i dont think the core idea is that out of left field, it could be possible.

Fleury aint getting traded. The vegas fanbase loves him and u do not want to piss off your fanbase. Look at what happened when he left Pittsburgh, people reminded murray every day he aint fleury and now hes probs on his way out. U want that to happen to Lehner. No. If he takes a discount I see them keeping him but honestly Kudobin could be a cheaper solid option in the offseason

If robin lehner wins them a cup I’m sure vgk fans would be fine if they moved on from MAF.

Not true look at penguins when he left they never let Murray hear the end of it and he won 2 with them. Even if lehner wins a cup fans won't want fleury moved as they love him

No, it wouldn't. We don't want a mediocre overpaid G.

Like I guess so, Penguin fans also thought they had the next answer in Murray and when he couldn't carry the load for the team that had more flaws than the team MAF had in PIT. I think it was more of an extremely high expectation after being the goalie in back to back Cups from Pens fans. I would've done the same thing as the Pens at the expansion draft, everyone would. You have to do what's best for the team, not the fans. And if Lehner is extended in Vegas I dont see a situation where MAF stays.
