Johnny trade is terrible for Calgary, why are we adding a 1st when we give up easily the best player in the deal? Dubnyk was ATROCIOUS this year and he's getting older, we're not interested in him. If we get Dumba we're keeping him, and Andersen won't cost that much

I'd accept the Gaudreau deal if I thought Gallagher is as good as gone, but he isn't. He's the heart and soul of this team, and he loves MTL. He'll get an extension for sure. Value-wise, though, fair trade.

34 year old goalie that just posted a sub 900 save percent at 4.3+ in salary in the current market = zero to negative value.

Dumba is ok but overrated. Backlund is ok but underrated and older. Rittich is a reasonable 1b goalie.

Yea one year of dubnyk on a cheap contract, dumba now recovered from that torn pec will be a top pair defensemen. Before he got hurt he was on pack for what, 30 goals and 70 points? Would he have hit it, doubtful but for that type poor production and being a right hand shot. Dumping dubnyk isn’t worth throwing away dumba for an old center and another backup goalie. Wild still have stalock. Add a blue chip Center prospect and you’d be more in the ballpark, but it would probably be an overpayment from Calgary’s side.
