quantity of quality? you're kidding right? pens give up by far the most valuable piece in letang, while taking on two pending UFA's and we damn well know Danault wont sign in pittsburgh to play even less minutes than he did in MTL behind two elite centres. hard pass by pit.

Pens pass. Pens have no need for Domi anymore, Danault wouldnt resign to play 3C, and Letang is better than Petry.

He might sign a short term deal and would still get alot of icetime and PP. And Malkin or Sid often out with injury at some point anyway

Doesn't matter, we aren't taking contracts as favors to other teams. If you want to dump it you pay for it

I have to disagree there buddy... because the rest of the players you are sending are worth f*ckall to mtl. To another team... maybe, to mtl nothing

So in a Petry, Domi, Danault for Letang... MTL is getting fleeced.

In my book Petey is pretty similar to Letang if not only a small upgrade. Then I wouldn't trade Danault for the rest of the deal... then you add Domi....

Letang is clear cut above Petry. He is an elite D. Petry is not. That is not a knock on Petry, hes still a great D, but he is not at the level Kris Letang is at. The other pieces being sent are things like a first round pick, and sam poulin. both have lots of value. And all pens get is two expiring UFAs and theyd only be able to keep one (Petry). No thanks

Well put Letang is elite and i dont want to trade him he runs the backend. but dont underestimate Danault

5v5 points in that three-year time span:

Danault - 97 in 204 games (2.1 P/60)
O'Reilly - 70 in 224 games (1.3 P/60)

We all know that Pens fan want LEtang out of their book as is play went down alot this short season as he is injury prone... taking Petry is a wash and actually Petry outplayed Letang this year.
and then 2 top 6 Center for 2 Middle6 and prospect. (Actually like a lot Poulin & your first but won't help MTL short term) Value might not be off that much, just doesn't help enough our team

No pens fans want Letang off their books Lol. He still had an excellent season and will gather Norris votes. Petry definitely didnt out play Letang this year. Also, this is the part where I have to point out that Letangs production slowed down when Dumo was injured and he had to play with Johnson. This year Letang spent about 45% of his even strength minutes with johnson, yet his even strength production was only about 25% of that. You can look that up here if you so choose to. So Letang is definitely not the problem. He’s an elite D, and his contract is great value. Pens will not be trading him.

Again don't take me wrong... I really like Letang but all those player switch and for Mtl is only a Petry-Letang switch... doesn't worth it.. and then you want Danault for what Poulin and a 1st... No thanks

Well pens would never offer a trade so bad. So don’t worry; even though MTL fleeces Pittsburgh in it
