Lateral move at best for Winnipeg if Danault has an extension, so no from Winnipeg.

I get that Jets fans don’t want to move Ehlers I really do, but sometimes you have to move players you don’t want to in order to fill some holes in your lineup. If your GM feels he needs to improve at C and D well one of your good wingers could be gone. I don’t follow the Jets enough to know how well they play defensively but if they need to shut things down better than Danault is a verrry valuable piece to do that.

I would rather see the Jets move Wheeler into the 2C position than trade Ehlers straight up for Danault.

Ehlers might have been the best forward on the team last year so that’s why we don’t really want to give him up. Danault is in the same caliber but it would just be a lateral move. I would rather build a trade from Laine for Danault with an extension

As long as you’re not asking for Caufield, KK,Romanov or Suzuki to go with Danault.
