Even if the Avs were looking for a goal tender, which they’re not(see Sakic’s comments last week), Grubauer has been far better the last 3 seasons with higher save percentage, lower gaa, and more playoff series and game wins. Yet inexplicably the Avs are suppose to throw in Zadorov a 2nd rd pick, retain money on Grubauer AND give Nurray a new contract. Sure Murray won a couple of Cups but since then he has lost the starting job, had at least one concussion and statistically trended down in just about every possible way. Literally this is such an easy no for the Avs it’s ridiculous.

I don't think the Leafs are trading that first rounder, plus a second, plus one of their best prospects, for Kris Letang. He's a good defenceman, but his salary does not fit their structure and he's past his prime. Way too much to give up.

massive over payment on Murray and this isnt an upgrade for the Avs in net
So avs are retaining salary on the better goalie last year and giving up a good draft pick with a dman...i mean you guys are just getting ridiculous now with these murray over valued trades

I’m probably in the minority of Wild fans that would take this deal. I’m pretty high on McCann and I also think Foligno is a player that you need to sell high on since his skill set tends to regress quickly. Truthfully I would see if we can move back the Wild pick to the 4th round or move Pitts up one, but that isn’t a hill I’d die on.
