better, but I think it is still just a little bit much, Have to account for the fact OEL has lost his touch the last two season and his contract is going to be a HEADACHE very soon, as he can't go in the expansion draft.

im a neutral fan and i know OEL is worth quite a bit but id rather have Debrusk over OEL at this point looking at age and contract and overall value

Bruins fans usually go straight for the jugular when someone mentions trading Vak so I decided to beat them to the punch

i mean youre acquiring a LHD so Vaak kinda becomes expendable in this particular case

Think it’s pretty close. Depends on how much MGT thinks Bjork/Stud can produce in top 6. I think they’ll keep JDB but AZ won’t take scraps either. Definitely thought provoking/interesting!

Not that I think Dzingel is worth much more than a 3rd, but I’d like to think the Canes would hold out for a 2nd from the Bruins at least. CAR isn’t really in a cap crunch this year, so they could afford to see how Dzingel plays in a contract year. The Canes cap hell starts next year.

I’d be shocked if they retained a mil on a 7 year contract. The only way I’d see them doing that is for Carlo

Krug seems all but done in Boston. I wouldn't trade for OEL tho.

Lidstrom? As in Nick Lidstrom? That seems like a bit of a stretch

Hey man i appreciate you, but this OEL trade is really really really a huge overpayment by the Bruins
Like its not good man
Debrusk and a 1st is more than enough for him and his big cap rn

i mean i agree but watch this be the type of value they get back. I feel like his real value is something like Vaak + Ritchie + Frederic and a 1st with no retention

Damn, yeah idk bro

He has a huge cap, i gotta watch some of his recent play so take what I say with a grain of salt

But honestly if that is what he will cost, bruins would rather just give Krug the same 8.5 mil for like 5 or 6 years instead

yeah but personally if im the Bruins id let Krug walk, keep the cap to re-sign Carlo, Debrusk, McAvoy, and try to get as young as possible. And trade some of those middle 6 players and middle level prospects from that overflowing prospect pool for young players needing a change of scenery that can possibly pan out .

In that case bringing in OEL is counter-intuitive lol

Because he costs too much and he was awful 5v5 versus good teams. Also Arizona isn’t really in a position to grab a multiplayer trade Involving such a huge AAV.

I agree. I could really seeing them go for like a Karlsson like package. 2 mid roster players, 2 decent prospects (at the time) and a 1st and 2nd
