as much as i respect you for being different and trying a reilly trade, i don't think it makes sense to move the leafs best contract

I do like Rielly but Detroit is in no position to trade 3 assets for 1 player. Plus it's very likely that Rielly would only be in Detroit for 2 seasons since that is when he becomes a UFA. What I saw in the play in round it's not Toronto's defense or goalie that is causing the problems. It's the forwards floating around the far blue line when the D in trying to break out.

Wings rebuilding and trading 3 young cost controlled assets for one player is not a good recipe.

Look at how Tampa have constructed a talented roster that can make deep playoff runs. When they had to trade to add grit and intangibles they kept the core intact to do so.
