What part of not wanting Domi or Mete don't you truly understand?

Rebuilds happen faster when you add lots of picks and prospects. Mete is a young NHL D who still hasn’t reached his potential. Harris is also solid prospect. Don’t want Domi fine trade him there would be teams who want him and will give up a first plus.

Turning Mantha into two firsts, potentially three seconds and two young D men is a heck of a return.

I’m not doing it as a habs fan regardless, that’s too much for an often injured 25 goal 50 point player.

They just don’t get it or are in denial that they would need to give up something that might actually hurt for a quality player.
These trade are different, but still the same 4 quarters for a dollar trades we are used to seeing from Montreal fans

We already have better LD then Mete in our pipeline, Domi would be our 2C looking at anywhere from lets say 5 x $5.5m to 5 x $6m we can draft Marco Rossi for cheaper and have a better 2C then Domi.

Detroit isn't trading Mantha but this is one of the best offers I've seen. I wouldn't get too upset if this was the trade that was posted 50 times a day.

It not the value, but more the interdivisional trade that bothers me. Montreal would get better as the winger you need, you acquire and you deal from a point of power, teading Domi when you have JK and Suzicki. Wings deal from a position of weakness and fill one hole but create another. Wi gs get a center but lose a valuable winger.

This helps the Ha s within the division and does not improve the Wings in the division.

In essence the Wings would have to get bona fide player, a prospect ready to play and maybe a pick. It would have to hurt the Habs to fill a position of need with trading in the division. So far Habs fans have only dealt their extras and think quantity equates to quality. In some tr a's de that is ok but again this is not an ordinary trade, it is a trade in division between a team on the rise and team rebuilding.

Personally i don't want Mantha because he is injury prone. That being said, if you look up the latest threads of the Red Wings on Mantha i see alot of divisiveness on what kind of contract on term and $$.

Thanks ! I thought it was a really solid offer for Mantha. Like another commenter said, it's almost 2 first and 3 seconds for Mantha. I get that it is "Domi" and "Mete", but still the Wings are rebuilding and 2 young NHL players plus a good prospect, a 1st and 2 2nds in this years DEEP draft is a helluva return.
