Who's the A- prospect you want?

Not sure. Not following y'alls prospects that closely. Let me clarify, someone that definitely has top 9 F or top 6 D NHL potential but isn't quite there yet.

Naturally that would all be contingent on Mantha being willing to sign a long term deal

KK as starters for Laine, you sign Danault, Ehlers is off limits

So lookup Ylonen/Harris/Struble/Brook/Phoeling.
Naturally, I'm not sure that's enough.

Interesting.

They need a 2C. You need a goal scorer. Both young and high overall picks which I imagine is the only way a trade of either player could make sense. MTL has Suzuki now which makes doing this possible provided they sign Danault and are comfortable with him staying in the 2C for them. Allows MTL to keep Domi too if they want, and they have Evans/Poehling coming. WPG gets what they need most, as well as freeing up an extra 6.7 mill to sign someone big for their D. I wonder if Theres any big name UFA D men that could help WPG's right side, that they might need a a little extra money to lure....can anyone think of a guy like that headed to the open market?

I don't think Winnipeg will feel the same.

It's so hard to value Mantha. He has a lot of skills and potential but the age old question is will he ever realize it?

Detroit is so far from competing, I don't see why they wouldn't entertain a trade of all futures/prospects.
Imagine at 16 Askarov is available?

That's fine but Detroit isn't trading him. He likes Detroit and wants to stay in Detroit. Plus he just bought a house in Detroit do you really think Detroit lets him do that if they are planning to trade him?

Forsberg is probably the only safe forward on NSH's roster -- they won't trade him. I also don't think this team has the pieces that would be able to get Forsberg either. Their good prospects are all more or less untouchable and trading for a Domi/Drouin/etc. is just a lateral move for a worse player. So I don't think MTL and NSH are trade good trade partners if Forsberg ever becomes available.
