I don't find it all that unfortunate. If he's so good this year (at $925k) that they won't be able to afford him next year, that's a win in my books.

Can't complain. You'll love him. I also recommend my guy Joni Jurmo if you have a 3rd from trading Johnsson this offseason.

Is Lehtonen as good as Belov when the Oilers signed him?

I think obviously Leafs fans have to pump the brakes a little before he actually plays in the NHL, simply due to the varying levels that KHL signees have performed in North America over recent years (see: Panarin, Shipachyov, Dadanov, Prokhorkin, Gusev, Ozhiganov, etc etc.), but I’m certainly getting my hopes up to finally see him in the blue and white eventually here. Hopefully he’s on the upper end of that KHL -> NHL spectrum for the sake of the Leafs’ defence core.

You can have Edmonton’s 2022 3rd pick but that’s it not moving 2 picks for Johnsson

Ozhiganov hated the leafs and NA hockey. He didn't really hold back when he called us all a$$ lickers.

Babs treated him like ****. I liked his play for the most part. If he would have been given the minutes to get comfortable I think he would have been okay.

I feel many of our Dman were in “don’t **** up” mode rather than just laying their hams me to their full potential.

He'll be a great addition to Toronto but they still need another proven D I believe.
