Rebuilding teams won't trade away their futures and take on a multi-year cap dump unless the prospect coming back is an absolute slam dunk. You also have to keep in mind for these teams with cap space, they want more time to tick off until some team makes a desperation move, similar to what the leafs had to do last year.

Neither of the players in the Kings trade are worth a 4th round pick by themselves, so they're certainly not worth two 4th round picks together. The Kings probably wouldn't take either player for free off waivers, so I don't see them giving up anything of value for either one.
