Jake is a 40G forward locked up for four more years. Gaudreau for only two years. Honestly, I'm taking Jake over Gaudreau at this point.

CGY and OTT deals make sense. Don't know if WPG does that deal though. They desperately need a 2C more than they need 33yo RHD.

CGY deal makes sense for CGY, not the Penguins.

No chance Winnipeg makes that trade. If letang was a decade younger maybe

Yeah there would need to be an extension but don't think it could be signed for another year.

Not just that though. Jake has become a better player than Gaudreau and is less expensive.

To be fair Gaudreau probably scores 40 on crosbys wing. But I agree pit shouldn't make that trade cus guentzel has more term

That Gaudreau/Guentzel deal is interesting. Jake is a better goal scorer by a little, but Gaudreau is a better playmaker. Ironically, if the Pens tried to get Gaudreau, I think it would be in part to have him play with Jake., I think that offer though is one both teams might accept or decline, it is pretty close.

Yeah if this was prime Letang I wouldn’t think twice about accepting that deal, but obviously he is creeping up there and is going to be declining. May not like this but the jets would ask for Marino as a starting point most likely
