60.2 is the floor iirc. Is Hossa 100% insured? Might as well just sign/trade for someone who will play if he’s only 80% or less

Add a 2nd and a 3rd maybe to the Peterson trade, although you could probably get him for Gaborik at the rate GMJR is going

Hossa is only owed $200,000. He's insured. Not sure it's worth it to dump him, but it's not like you're asking the moon either haha

@Claesson4Norris @Borocop

ive heard that teams are calling Ottawa to give their cap dumps, i mean thats obvious. But i just heard that teams are calling even more now, trying to get ahold of some of the plethora of 2nd round picks. What do u think we could do with 2nd round pick trades?

My guess is decent roster players. I guessed Virtanen and Zadorov as possible targets that I would be interested in acquiring for a 2nd apiece

yeah, i think we need to make decisions on guys like Chlapik, Balcers, Paul, Hawryluk, Abramov, Jaros, theyre overripening and need to make it to the NHL or get traded/cut soon

Im kind of over chlapik at this point, would rather roll with other centres. Balcers i think gets an actual shot this year and i think they play forms in the AHL again. I think Eveyrone else apart from jaros makes the team. So ya id move on from clappy and jaros but the rest i would give a 1 year deal to and put em on the team

Heres my take: I dont think Dorion keeps all our main 3 RFAs rolling into next season: Tierney, C. Brown and Duclair. I can see something like Tierney for picks and Duclair for Jake Bean

i think brown is the most likely to stay of the three yeah. I personally dont believe some of the rumours that the sens arent willing to take on dumps though. I think thats where some of the second rounders may come in too. Instead of taking cap dumps with low real money (i.e. Kris russell style, etc...) for a third/4th and sending nothing in return I think dorion will try to coax some teams out of their first rounders+their low real money cap dumps in exchange for some of the seconds

yeah i can see that for sure 1st and cap dump for 2nd round pick. I just have a hard time seeing other teams do it

I have a sinking suspicion the Sens will be the suckers who pay for Ryan Strome coming off a career year. It's also looking more and more likely that they will be adding a goalie at some point.

At this point, I just want them to start making their moves sooner rather than later. I clearly have no idea what this team is gonna do, so I'd rather just skip the speculation and see what they do.
