Wild are in cap hell in a year and not a good enough team to be in that spot. Marner's $11m a year is too much cap to have on the team, and the price is get him is too much to pay for MN.

Given that the Wild are enforcing a 20 per cent reduction for all staff salaries of $150,000 or more, I doubt that they're spending to the cap this year, which creates a pretty significant issue with absorbing Marner's contract and its $15m hit this year. I could be wrong, but I reeeeeeally doubt it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
