Given that the hangup with signing a contract with the Blues is being reported as not being protection rather than salary or term, that seems like a ridiculous idea for both you and LeBrun (lordt) to be considering. Just because something is possible doesn't make it probable.

That said, as someone who occasionally puts up ridiculous AGM rosters just to see what could be done, rock out with your bad self

(Also, a very real issue with even the possibility of a sign and flip is that Nylander's contract wouldn't be enough to cover the cost of that contract and the Leafs are gonna have an issue with the cap as it is.)

Leafs would never agree to this. The would want to front load his contract with bonus money, making him tradeable in 5-6 years
