Wouldn't it cost, at the very least, that 1st round pick just to get rid of Neal?

I kind of agree, but the current trade gets out from under 20ish mil in spending, plus Neal is easily buyoutable. That was my thoughts maybe we give them a 2nd or 3rd as well?

Boston throwing in a second round pick is a no from me. I'm also not on board with this whole Bjork for Chiasson swap, I don't see how that deal would benefit the Bruins' future.

I think it's definitely "Buyer beware" when it comes to OEL, but I'm pretty confident that they could move him without getting a terrible contract back.

I'd also assume that Kessel/Stepan/Kuemper or Ranta will likely be where the team tries to shed payroll in the first place.

OEL isn’t going to have that big of a market teams are going not to want to have the last 3 yrs of his deal on the books the trade is fair value as it stands but I’d pass the back end of that deal will be when Broberg and Bouchard need new big money long term deals plus Bear will require a new deal also as I’m sure Edmonton signs him to a 2 yr bridge deal, to many kids needing money with his boat anchor of a contract Edmonton needs to stay away from OEL or we just end up with another Neal contract but 3mil heavier

Klefboms contract is so team friendly and has 3 yrs left raises his value your not only trading for the player but your trading for his low cap hit also Edmonton wouldn’t do a one for one for Klefbom Debrusk as a oilers fan I don’t see the Chiasson Bjork good for Boston but this trade has been rumoured to be all but done just waiting for JP to sign his contract to come back to Edmonton not sure but. I see that swap being made from both fan bases maybe it just all bs drummed up by the media or there’s real smoke there, all I know if it was up to Armchair gms this trade would have gone down already only difference out of the 4 players would be a nurse Klefbom swap depend what player Boston gms liked better

Seems to be one of the most proposed trades lately I’m not sure why Boston fans want to move Debrusk so bad but we’d love him in oil country he could live with his dad

Yeah i agree it seems this chiasson-bjork swap is more of a fan type deal instead of it actually being a legitimate thing.

As for Debrusk, I don't think fans want to trade him, it's just he's been inconsistent the past 2 years. He'll score 7 goals in 10 games then 0 goals in the next 10. I personally don't think he's safe from trade, but I would give him one more year at least with Boston to prove he can find consistency in his game. He plays a very unique style of north-south aggressive drive the net game and has the tools to be a 30-35 goal scorer. I think if he's inconsistent again next season with Boston, he'll more than likely get traded next offseason. I love JD though, he is actually one of the leaders in the lockeroom and has a very loud personality. He'd be missed, but he's gotta find consistency, that's his major problem. His playoff performance isn't gonna cut it, we need him
