Jost appears to have fallen out of favor and appears to need a new opportunity. Maatta is a decent defenseman, and Kampt plays strong 4th line minutes. Avs get a pick for a RFA.

Jost has not fallen out of favour that they would give him away. Jost is a better hockey player than Kampf, and if they so downgrading Jost to Kampf does nothign to their bottom 6, it makes it worse
and Maatta straight sucks dude, he has an awful contract, avs already have way too many Dman right now and can trade 1 or 2 of them offseason. They arent going to trade for a horrible one who would be a healthy scratch
