I highly doubt stammer is traded but if he were

Description
Again HIGHLY doubt he'd accept a trade, not convinced they'd even ask him

Anywho I can see him going with Stevie Y to Detroit if they were better, but they're just too many pieces away from competing.

So I am going with NYR as Tampa and the Rangers seem to trade a lot

Fair enough. Can be replaced with a Ufa LD signing of a depth guy

Lol Rangers decline soon to be, if not already young #1D + last year's 2nd overall pick + 13OA for injury prone 30 year old 1C?

And if it did go through, Fox would be on the first pair, not third.

You can call him injury prone all you want but yes stammer still woukd have been 3rd in goals and points on nyr last year and is the best goal scorer of his short generation between ovi and Matthews/Laine

He is also exactly what NYR needs in a 2C

Finally I may be underrating Fox by you calling him a soon to be if not already 1D. Is he THAT good? I knew he was a good young player but I didn't think he was THAT good

yes he is that good. 42 points in 70 games as a rookie D and I'd argue his defensive game is even more impressive. He's not Hughes or Makar but he's not terribly far off

I would only give this package for Eichel imo

Hes the best defender of the 3 by far, just as dynamic a puck handler and skater and if you want to argue their offensive contributions both the others play on the 1st PP unit while fox played on our 2nd unit with the likes of chytil, buch, trouba, etc.

even without power play points Hughes and Makar both outscore Fox on a points per game basis. Hughes and Makar also much better in transition. Makar killed both in ppg.

So I haven't watched him play much and I'll defer to you guys on that.

But the biggest stat to me about a defenseman (assuming it's not being biased by a dumb coach which certainly happens) is their time on ice and quality of competition.

He was still just an 18-19 minute guy. When he plays that awesome for 23+ minutes a night then he is a number 1 defenseman.

I presume trouba was getting the toughest competition?

Fox is elite himself in transition and safer with the puck than the other 2

Okay in that case than he is damn promising but he still hasn't proven himself to be a number one D

He was playing under 20 minutes per night against second pairing opposition. That's still great for a rookie but he needs to take the next step to prove he can play top competition 23+ minutes a night.

STAMKOS should have been traded last year as I harped on .. we STILL would have won Cup and have 2 #1s and no cap issues.. yes I am God

With that said.. with injury he staying this year .. but need to move him in 2021 to resign Colemen and have money for Point

You are most certainly not god. You were the one complaining last summer that the team was doomed because they didn't trade Gourde.
