Make the 2020 2nd better, and then offer a good spec and Boston wouldn’t think it’s a bad offer

I doubt Columbus trades either goalie unless they both ask for a ludicrous amount of money but they’re RFA’s so Columbus has some safety net

Hanifin starts with a great spec and a first

Formenton is one of our best young players. A bit more but not much more

I don’t understand why bouch is on the trade bait board. I feel he’s only added there to fill out the list and create fan talk. Teams don’t move that type of prospect when they clearly have a place for him.
Larsson 1 year remaining
Bear RFA
Benning RFA
I’m happy with all three of them but not enough to make bouch expendable without giving him a serous look on the team.

Yeah, that's crazy. The depth chart on the right side is somewhat thin and Larsson has just one year left. Klefbom could be out for the season and Jones might be picked up by Seattle next summer.

Yeah, they aren't trading Bouchard.

They played on the same team in the OHL for 3 years. Bouchard, a defenseman, outscored Formenton, a winger, EVERY SINGLE YEAR.

It's not close.

You might be right. But I do believe that RFAs will be more readily available this year based on the static cap for the foreseeable future. I've been reading about how many RFAs won't even be qualified. I truly don't know the value of DeBrusk or Hanifin. I think Korpisalo is going to be more affordable than one would think, given the upcoming Kraken draft and the glut of goalies in the market.

i think Korpisalo would be traded for a mid first. Hanifin would definitely be worth way more than that. Like switch Chlapik for Batherson and they probably consider

I would look at the latest version of Formenton. I live in Belleville and I have seen him play in the AHL many times. The kid is going to be an NHL player, and his style of play would complement your Hart Trophy centres really well.

I think it's because his name was floated around in the OEL proposal.

I think because of the OEL talk.

Or Holland didn't look at Bouchard's birth certificate and thinks he's in his early 40s. I've never seen a teenager that looks as old as that kid.

The only way Columbus moves either one of their goalies is part of a package for a 2nd line center.

Flames would probably be looking to get a winger in a similar career position as Hanifin. Probably a young middle six player, someone like Colin White. If they go futures (which I hope they wouldn't be) they would definitely be looking for a later first at least.

Sure, that's great. I'm still not open to paying 200 cents on the dollar for him. He had success in the AHL largely due to playing with two guys who are better than him: Norris and Batherson. He isn't Bouchard's equal.

Korpisalo had a 9 game hot stretch and that makes him worth a mid-1st? If that's the case I'm trading Koskinen for a top-3 pick!
