No, I'm not. The goalie market is way too flooded and Murray is coming off of a pretty bad season and has been streaky as a goalie. At best he's worth a late 1st. However, a 23 year old 2C RFA that's put up .76ppg at the ages of 21 and 22 since joining the Hawks is worth substantially more then a streaky goalie coming off of a bad season in a flooded goalie market. Hawks easily pass on this idea.

I don't care how flooded the market is. Murray is coming off a rough year that was filled with injury and personal loss. He also bounced back in the playoffs this year regardless of the loss. I don't know maybe considering Jarry just got 3.5 and I doubt that Murray will take less than his backup and Lehner just got 5. I'd rather go after Markstrom or Holtby or any of the other free agent goalies. Or just keep Crawford because whatever cap hit Murray is gonna demand will probably be fine with Crawford who is easily the better goalie
