Dumba's a great RHD target for VGK imo. He'd certainly improve their PP.

I believe the idea is if they can’t get petrangelo then they’d go after dumba. It would be a kill 4 birds with 1 stone type move:The wild would get their goalie.
the knights would clear fleury’s cap.
The knights would get their dynamic rhd.
The wild would get their C prospect/piece.

Just that Vegas would be paying a premium to clear out fleury’s contract.

If this happened, I would assume it becomes Fleury, Glass, and a 2nd. I think a 1st could only be in play of Vegas knows Petro is coming and they need to clear the space ASAP, if they miss out on him they have no need to rush.

The wild trade isn’t great. Dumba is a secondary target and they will treat it like such. The 2020 1st is out of Glass/Krebs is part of the package.

I think all the naysayers about the Dumba deal are failing to comprehend how valuable Stalock is to a cap-strapped team like Vegas. Dumba for Glass or Krebs is fair. A low 1st for taking MAF is fair. And, a 2nd for Stalock is fair. It’s pretty simple math.

Dumba for Krebs alone is not fair for MIN imo. VGK adds something to the pile. Taking Fleury's whole contract makes that something a first imo.

I’ll push back a bit on how much stalock could get, but I completely agree that stalock is super valuable at the moment. I’m just not sure if Vegas would want him back if they don’t get Petro and decide they want Dumba. In that scenario, they aren’t nearly as strapped since moving Fluery for Dumba actually opens a mil in space. If this goes through you’ll see the 1st dropped and possibly even the 2nd.

I assume we’ve all seen that Vegas was offering any team a 2nd to take fleury straight up. Every team said no. That means would take a 2nd plus prospect or a 1st at the least. Split the difference there. That’s why adding dumba and glass or krebs would make sense.
