Description

Thornton is still capable of playing the 3C. Kerfoot is expandable and too expensive.
Adding Zetterberg can help them - they can place him at the LTIR and use the salary pools to increase the cap space.

man, am I wrong to not want to rely on a 41 year old to be the third line centre? Plus, what if he gets injured? Throwing away kerfoot for a draft pick just so you can carry extra guys in the lineup seems silly. We can totally keep kerfoot and run with a 22 man roster

Detroit signed Namestnikov who is better and cheaper than Kerfoot to fill our 2C role. Yzerman won't give up a good pick for Kerfoot.

leafs fans don’t know what they are talking about? They just post sh*t to post it..

The leafs offered Dermott 895k. If someone offers him over 1.4M the leafs will let him walk and take the 3rd round pick compensation. NO way they pay him 2.33M. Obviously he didn’t sign the 895k offer sheet yet but he’s not gonna get more than 1M/year from Toronto. And he’s not arbitration eligible.

And Mikheyev is arbitration eligible and has a hearing next week I believe. He will probably win something like 1.5-2M a year

you misunderstand me, I'm talking about Thornton haha

also, I'm coming around to the idea of thornton as 3C with some speedy wingers
