You are missing 2 teams selections, you have some UFA"s and also some players like Zucker and Magnapaine that will likely be protected, but overall, you did a great job.

Ryan is a pending UFA next summer, Pretty sure players need to be under contract for at least one season to be claimed. Ryan would just fall under a UFA signing therefore not count against Detroit losing him.

Exactly - you have several UFAs like Ryan and Simmonds. Those guys are free to sign with whoever. Should set the year to 2021-22 then you can see all the guys under contract

I think the Avs end up protecting Nichushkin and leave one of Donskoi or Compher available up front. I strongly suspect they will leave Graves unprotected and that Seattle would take him but it really depends on whether or not Johnson waives his NTC and allows them to protect Toews; Girard and Makar are obviously protected.

Man how quickly Saros gets disregarded (often just because of size), it's pretty amazing when his results are on par with Vasilevskiy, Hellebuyck, Gibson etc.

Saros is not the long-term solution in net in NSH - Askarov is now. So may as well trade Saros when his value is high and bring in the young goalie prospects that both have high potential. The drafting of Askarov makes one of Ingram or Saros expendable, just depends on which one it ends up being. Just looking at what the team may look like 3-5 years from now.

Essentially, I see this as being the Preds future in net:
20-21, Saros - Rinne
21-22, Saros - Ingram
22-23, Saros - Ingram (potential to trade Saros this season and bring in Askarov - maybe Askarov does a year in MIL or one more in the KHL or there is a 3-headed monster - but I'd want to avoid that)
23-24, Ingram/Saros - Askarov (1a/1b scenario)

So I think Saros has a max of 3 years with this team if Ingram remains on the team. If Ingram goes, then it's probably more like 4-5 seasons until Askarov is the full-on starter and Saros is traded.
