    By offering him enough money?

    He's a TOP6 player in a team like Toronto. Assuming that your TOP6 next year consists of Matthews, Tavares, Marner, Nylander, Mikheyev and Hyman, they earn together around $44M bucks. Divide that to 6 players and you get $7,33M each.

    Naturally Hyman doesn't deserve that much and he's not as good as others (except Mikheyev), but that current offer is still less than half of the current average of the earnings of the TOP6.

    Realistically I think the offer should be around 5 mil for 6 years or something like that. He's worth that much for TOR I believe.

    this guy gets it.

    I was honestly thinking of a Gallagher deal as both guys point totals are basically identical (so 3.75 for 6 years). In general I see Hyman making 3.5-3.85 mill for 5-6 years.

    You are going to have to pay Seattle to take Holl over Dermott. A 29/30 year old bottom pairing RD making over 2M is not that enticing.
